Well it is no secret here on the blog that I am currently a member of Slimming World and determined to get rid of my last bit of excess and finally reach a goal weight!
So a major part of being healthy for me at the moment is making sure that my first food choices are the fruits and veggies on the Slimming world ‘Superfree’ list closely followed by the other ‘Free’ foods. And very importantly controlling my ‘treats’ (read junk food) by monitoring my ‘Syns’.
For a long time I have tried to do more exercise and of course Slimming World encourage this as well as part of their ‘Body Magic’ campaign. The idea being its fab losing weight by controlling your food, but you can boost weight loss and make better improvements to your health and body by incorporating exercise.
So I am now trying to do little bits of exercise here and there and build myself up gradually – and aiming for my bronze Body Magic award too!
I am trying to prize myself away from my desk at lunch times (and away from blog reading and twitter) to take a little 20 min walk before I eat my lunch.
I am occasionally getting up early and doing a little 20 jog or my 30 Day Shred DVD.
and I am joining the bf on his weekend gym trips and doing some intervals on the treadmill along with some weight training and abs.
But at the moment I am taking a very positive ‘some is better than nothing’ approach, so if I can’t find the motivation one day I won’t feel guilty…I will just try again the next day!
