My best friends are all teachers. All 5 of them! So for the last couple of weeks they have been off work as it was the Easter holidays. With me still off in maternity leave as well we had to make sure we all got together at least once while they were off. And its not always easy to manage getting us all free at the same time!
But we did manage to find time, so last Wednesday we popped into Cheltenham for a change for a nice lunch, a spot of shopping and for those not driving home with a baby, some cocktails.
Once me and Lara found the others it didn’t long to spot somewhere with 2 for 1 cocktails and the girls (and guy) were ready to relax with a fruit bright coloured beverage in a fancy glass. (it was just gone noon…that’s acceptable isn’t it?)
An hour later and we were ready to carry on wondering the street and popping in shops, and before we knew it everyone was peckish enough to stop for lunch. I indulged at lunch and had an off plan but very yummy fish finger on brioche sandwich with ‘triple cooked’ chips. It went down very well and I gobbled it up before there was even a chance to take a picture of it!
The time went by way too fast and after a bit more browsing it was time for me and Lara to leave the others are get back home ready for little miss’ bed time.
Aside from the little mishap with the car in the multi storey it was a fab day and the fact it was nice and sunny made it even more perfect.
